The Greens are a grassroots based party. By joining The Greens you will become a member of your local group (either Petersham-Newtown Greens or Marrickville Greens).
All the local groups in NSW comprise The Greens NSW.
The Greens NSW is part of a federation with other state Green parties to form the Australian Greens.
The Greens Party is based on four core principles:
- ecological sustainablity
- social equity and economic justice
- grassroots democracy
- peace and non-violence
